Getting Started

Sign in, run your first search, follow trials, and read your dashboard — the complete first-run walkthrough.

What ClinicaLister does

ClinicaLister brings clinical trials together with the regulatory drug and device information attached to them, so you can discover trials, build a portfolio of the ones you care about, and get told when anything changes. This guide walks you through your first session end to end. Each step links to a deeper guide if you want more detail.

ClinicaLister uses a single account across the platform. You don't create a password inside the app itself.

  1. 1

    Open the app

Go to your ClinicaLister workspace. If you aren't signed in yet, you'll be taken to the ClinicaLister account page to log in.

  2. 2

Sign in with your ClinicaLister account

Enter your credentials on the account page. If two-factor authentication is enabled on your account, you'll be asked for your authenticator code before the app opens.

  3. 3

    Land on Follow-Up

After signing in you arrive on the Follow-Up page — your home base. It starts empty until you follow some trials.

Note: Account creation, password changes, and two-factor setup all happen on the ClinicaLister account page, not inside the app. The app links you there when you need it.

Follow trials

Following a trial adds it to your portfolio on the Follow-Up page so you can track and analyze it.

  1. 1

    Select trials

Tick the checkbox on any trials you want to track, or use the Follow button on an individual result.

  2. 2

    Follow in bulk

Select several at once and follow them all together. Use the "unfollowed only" filter to focus on trials you haven't added yet.

Read your dashboard

Back on the Follow-Up page, the Dashboard tab turns your followed trials into interactive charts — status, phase, sponsors, geography, linked drugs and devices, safety signals, and more.

  • Click any chart segment to filter your whole portfolio to that value.
  • Selections combine, so you can drill down across several charts at once.
  • Use Clear Filters to reset back to your full portfolio.
  • Switch to the Table and Map tabs for row-level and geographic views of the same set.

Turn on alerts

ClinicaLister can watch your followed trials and tell you when something changes.

  1. 1

    Enable monitoring on a query

In a query's settings, turn on monitoring and choose how often you want to be checked in with (for example daily or weekly).

  2. 2

Review changes in the Monitoring tab

Changes show up in the Monitoring tab, grouped by severity, with a before-and-after view of what changed. See Monitoring & Alerts for the full picture.
